EU4Youth Employability and Stability in Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine

The main objectives of the project “EU4Youth: Employability and Stability in Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine” were to improve the youth employability in Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine, develop business skills among socially vulnerable youth and promote their active participation in the labor market.

In partnership with SOS Armenia, BSC provided business consultancy services and capacity-building sessions to help project participants develop their business plans and receive funding. The key component of the project was to train 300 young people in basic life, social, vocational and employability skills.

The goal of the project was to improve youth employability in Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine, develop business skills among socially vulnerable youth in order to promote their active participation in the labor market.

Within the project, about 120 young people were directed with their future employability, and approximately 50 young project beneficiaries completed a training program and learned how to set up, manage and grow their own business.

Young Armenians learned the specifics of the competitive labor market and professionals in demand, also were informed where to seek job opportunities and properly be prepared for a recruitment process.

Through an adapted training program approximately 50 young project beneficiaries learned how to set up, manage and grow their own businesses. Young people with the best business ideas got start-up funding and regular support in the pre-, incubation and post-incubation phases of their businesses. Therefore, it was envisaged that at least 15 business plans would meet the selection criteria and be funded through the project.

Overall, 16 business plans met the selection criteria and got grants of 4000 Euros to run their businesses. They established their businesses in the areas of tourism, bakery shop establishment, dry fruit production establishment and so on.
